| News and Events: Insurance coverage and consequence. This year has presented certain challenges related to our relationship with Sport Manitoba and Membership Insurance coverage. One of our positive outcomes with Sport Manitoba has been access to Liability Insurance afforded by our Members, Disciplines and Clubs. MPHA has experienced multiple challenges, over the last few years, to maintain that coverage. Prices go up and requirements change annually. MPHA has talked to other providers and are pursuing coverage from another provider, which while is a little more expensive provides better coverage. (Canada’s National Firearms Association) The Board will likely move to affiliate with the CFA. Membership fees will without doubt increase, solely on the provision of a better liability coverage for our members. Suggested Membership is $20.00 per year. MOTION: Increase Membership cost to $20.00 per year Effective October 1, 2022, to recover losses accrued by the Association related to Insurance coverage.
